This is kit is for any of the following:
1. ProMaster vans with the factory Uconnect radio with 5" display and prewired from the factory all the way to the back of the van with the grey 8 pin connector located above the rear doors.
2. ProMaster vans with the factory Uconnect radio with 5" display without the factory camera prewiring to the rear of the van.
3. ProMaster vans with an aftermarket display radio or mirror with backup camera display capability and without the factory camera prewiring to the rear of the van.
4. RAM ProMaster cargo van, camper conversion, or other van with the Upfitter Camera Prep Package option that includes the 8 pin connector at the rear of the van and 3 pin connector behind the radio. For this, be sure to include the optional camera adapter when adding this kit to your cart.
For vans with the factory camera prewiring, you'll use the included adapter that plugs into the factory grey 8 pin connector at the back of the van when installing the camera.
For vans without factory camera prewiring, the kit includes a camera power & video harness long enough to reach from the back of the van to the radio location on the dash. This video cable will plug into any aftermarket display radio or rearview mirror that has backup camera input, or, by installing the female RCA adapter into the factory radio connector on vans with the 5" display, you'll be able to connect the video cable directly to the factory UConnect radio.
For vans with the Upfitter Camera Prep Package and an aftermarket display radio, you'll use the included camera adapter that plugs into the factory grey 8 pin connector at the back of the van when installing the camera as well as the optional 3 pin to RCA male camera display radio interface cable
IMPORTANT: For vans with the factory UConnect radio only: Dealer activation is required to make the camera display visible on the factory radio (instructions included with the kit).
