This is a Gentex auto dimming rear view mirror with light blueish-greenish Compass & Temperature display & Homelink® Version 3 that will fit the 2009-2015 Toyota Tacoma trucks that have the factory 14 pin mirror wiring harness in place above the overhead console or plugged into the factory mirror. If you are not able to locate the factory wiring, select the appropriate option when purchasing the mirror & we can then substitute the standard wiring harness (at no extra charge) instead of our custom Tacoma harness (on the standard wiring harness you'll have to make the switched power & ground connections on your own).
Along with the mirror, you will receive our custom Tacoma plug & play wiring harness that connects to the factory mirror harness, temperature sensor, temperature sensor harness & installation hardware. Adjustable wire cover is optional. Please note...this is not completely plug & play - only the power & ground wires are plug & play; you will still have to install the temperature sensor & run the wiring from the sensor to the mirror. Mirror is only available with standard, non-backlit buttons.
IMPORTANT: Some vehicles may be missing the constant hot wire for the Homelink® buttons (refer to the Installation Notes tab for more info). If your truck is missing this wire, you can choose either of the following options when purchasing the kit:
1. If you want Homelink® to operate only when the ignition is on, we have an alternate harness that sends ignition-switched power to the Homelink® buttons (this option is available even if your truck has the constant hot wire in place).
OR
2. If you want Homelink® to be operable at all times, we can supply a length of wire with the proper terminal installed & you'll then need to add this to the existing 14 pin connector in your truck & tap into one of the maplights for constant power.
Be sure to make the appropriate selection when adding the kit to your cart.
This mirror has Homelink® version 3. What does this mean? If you have a newer garage door opener with a yellow antenna and yellow learn button, a "repeater" may be required in order for the mirror to operate with your opener - these are widely available online for around $25.
