New backup camera image diverter for 2009-2013 Chevy Silverado 1500-2500HD-3500HD and GMC Sierra 1500-2500HD-3500HD and 2014 carryover model pickups (not for new body style 2014's) that are equipped from the factory with the backup camera option AND have RPO Code UVC present on the Service Parts Identification Label in your truck's glove box. This adapter plugs in under the dash near/above the parking brake pedal, allowing you to connect any aftermarket camera with an RCA cable to the factory camera wiring that runs from the bottom of the dash up to the mirror.

This adapter will allow you divert the factory backup camera image from your truck's rearview mirror to an aftermarket head unit that is capable of displaying a backup camera image. Once the adapter is installed, you will no longer see the backup camera image on the factory rearview mirror. The adapter has a 5' male RCA cable that will allow you to connect this to the backup camera input of your aftermarket radio/head unit (of course, your aftermarket radio/head unit must be capable of displaying a backup camera image).

More detailed instructions on where to find this plug on your truck will be included with the adapter.

**IMPORTANT** IF YOUR TRUCK HAS WIRES THAT ARE NOT BLUE & WHITE IN POSITIONS 6 & 7 OF THE FACTORY MIRROR CONNECTOR, THIS IMAGE DIVERTER WILL NOT WORK IN YOUR TRUCK. Please contact us for assistance if the wires in your truck's mirror connector do not match what is shown in the pictures.

Being that the optional (RPO Code A48) power sliding rear window control wires run thru the same connector that also contains the backup camera wiring, be sure to choose the appropriate adapter when purchasing, as we have these available for trucks with and without the power sliding rear window option.
