This is a new 12 pin male to 12 pin female adapter harness that converts the Homelink® buttons on your rear view mirror from being operable at all times to only being operable when the ignition is on, adding a little extra security to your vehicle. Works with all non-backup camera display Homelink® mirrors that have a 12 pin connector located in the back of the mirror housing. If your vehicle has factory exterior dimming mirror(s), be sure to choose the alternate adapter harness option when adding this item to your cart.

In addition, this adapter can be used in the 2015-2018 Toyota Camry cars, 2020-2023 Toyota Tacoma trucks and 2011-2020 Toyota Sienna vans that were built from the factory with no constant-hot power to the mirror connector (the wire that is supposed to have constant-hot power is on the bottom row of the mirror connector, third from left - see the last picture). If you have acquired a 12 pin Homelink® mirror for your vehicle and and after you plug it in, nothing happens when you press one of the Homelink® buttons, this generally indicates that your vehicle doesn't have constant power on the mirror connector.
